The Accelario Virtualization enables organizations to create and manage virtual databases for development, testing, and reporting purposes. Accelario Database virtualization is designed to efficiently store and simplify the management of database copies

Accelario Virtualization uses a proprietary storage format to store the data for each virtual database. This storage format allows for efficient data compression, and encryption, which reduces the storage space footprint.

Accelario Virtualization also uses a block-level storage technology which allows it to create a virtual copy of the original database, instead of replicating the entire database every time an update to the copy is required. This means that only the changes made to the original database are replicated, reducing the storage space required and improving performance.

Accelario Virtualization supports various types of storage infrastructure such as: local storage, network-attached storage (NAS), storage area networks (SAN) and cloud storage. This allows for the platform to be deployed on a wide range of storage infrastructures and enables organizations to choose the storage infrastructure that best fits their needs.

Accelario Virtualization builds virtual copies while thriving to follow two mantras - “take no space” and “startup in no time”.

The "take no space” concept is achieved by using copy-on-write technique, where only changed data is stored, while the non-changed data is shared between VDBs.

The “Startup in no time” concept is achieved by eliminating the need to copy all the data before starting the database.
