Release Notes Data Anonymization Module v38.0

Release Overview:

This sprint focuses on standardizing the application, improving user experience, and enhancing performance calculations. Below are the updates included in this release:

Enhancements

1. Standardized Wordings Across the Application

We have revised and standardized wordings throughout the application to ensure consistency and clarity in communication. This change improves the overall user experience by making the interface more intuitive and professional.

2. Unified Date and Time Format

The application now uses a single date and time format across all modules and components. This ensures consistency, reduces confusion, and simplifies interpretation for users across different time zones and systems.

3. New Masking Job Step: Analyzing DB Objects

A new step, "Analyzing DB Objects" has been added to the Masking Job workflow. This step provides an in-depth analysis of database objects before masking begins, enhancing transparency and accuracy in the masking process.

4. Improved Speed Calculations for Masking

  • Table Speed Calculation: The speed of completed tables is now calculated based only on masked records and elapsed time, ensuring more accurate performance reporting.

  • Batch Speed Calculation: Masking speed is now dynamically calculated based on the last N batches, providing a more precise reflection of real-time job performance.

5. Sensitive Search Result Limitation

To improve usability and prevent overwhelming users with excessive data, we have introduced a limit on the number of sensitive data search results. Users can now manage search outputs more efficiently while focusing on the most relevant data.

6. UI: Grid Refactoring (Partial Implementation)

As part of an ongoing effort to enhance the application’s interface, we’ve started refactoring grids on the masking screens. This update improves responsiveness, readability, and usability, laying the groundwork for a more streamlined user experience.
