Accelario is excited to announce the release of Version 32, featuring major new cloud capabilities and important enhancements to improve database management, security, and reliability.

Main Feature:

Support for AWS RDS/Aurora MySQL

Accelario now supports AWS RDS and Aurora MySQL, expanding our cloud database virtualization capabilities.
Key Benefits:

  • Seamless backup and virtualization workflows for RDS and Aurora MySQL.

  • Greater flexibility for hybrid and cloud-native database environments.

  • Simplifies test data management for cloud-hosted MySQL workloads.

Additional Enhancements:

Configurable Source DB Name for MSSQL Native Backup GI

Users can now set the source database name when creating a MSSQL Native Backup Generation Instance (GI), adding more flexibility and clarity to backup configurations.

Open ZFS Encryption for Pools and Volumes

Added support for Open ZFS encryption, allowing encryption to be enabled for ZFS pools and volumes to improve data security and compliance.

Free Space Check for main_pool

A new validation check ensures there is sufficient free space on the main_pool before running GI creation, helping prevent failures and optimize storage utilization.

Auto Snapshot After First VDB Start

The system now automatically creates a snapshot after a Virtual Database (VDB) starts for the first time, providing an extra recovery point for added data protection.
