Goal

To enhance efficiency and transparency in managing of development sprints for the Masking and Virtualization services by transitioning from a dual management system (Atlassian Jira and Google Excel spreadsheets) to a single, integrated solution.

Reasons:

1. Reduce duplication of work: Currently, tasks are being tracked twice—in Jira and Excel—leading to unnecessary extra work.

2. Avoid discrepancies: The dual system sometimes results in inconsistencies between the two sets of data.

How to:

Excel spreadsheets will be replaced by Confluence pages that incorporate a Jira list of tasks template.

Transitioning from Excel to Confluence with Jira involves additional steps:

Calculating and managing estimates for Backend, Frontend, QA, and DBA tasks.

This will be managed using Jira custom fields :
