Release Overview

We're pleased to announce the latest advancements in our Virtualization platform.

This release includes several key updates and new features that enhance functionality, improve security, and offer additional flexible configurations.

New Features and Enhancements

Database Size Limitation in Licensing

We've expanded our licensing mechanism to include database size limitations.

Licenses can now restrict usage based on the total size of connected data sources, ensuring that the Virtualization processes adhere to the specified size limit. This feature aims to provide more tailored solutions to our users and optimize license utilization.

Database Size Retrieval

This service automatically retrieves and records the database sizes during each Golden Image creation and refresh operation. The data is saved in the service, providing essential information for customers, and support teams to better understand usage profiles.

Integration with Accelario Usage and Statistics Server

We have connected the Virtualization platform to our Accelario usage and statistics server. This integration gathers comprehensive insights into utilization patterns and system performance, facilitating a proactive support ecosystem and driving continuous product improvement.

HTTPS Protocol for Secure Communication

Communication between the service and its internal agents, as well as access to the virtualization UI, is now fully secured using HTTPS. This update ensures that all data transmissions are encrypted, enhancing the security and integrity of our platform.

Compression Option for Oracle RMAN Golden Image Backup

Responding to customer feedback, we've added an option to enable compression for the Oracle RMAN Golden Image backup of the source database. This feature provides flexibility enabling users to optimize their processes and reduce storage requirements.
