Start a Virtual Database (VDB)

The “START VDB“ process will up the Oracle database instance with the data-files from the selected volume (clone).

  1. Select the Clone (the volume with data-files).

  2. Press the “START VDB“ button.

  3. Chose the Destination Oracle Database.

 

The type of the volume will be changed to “VDB“

 

Connection Details for the new VDB are available by clicking on the “Info“ icon:

 

Please check before start VDB that the version of the Source Database is the same as for the Destination Database.

 

In case of error Failed because no 'init*.ora' files were found in '/main_pool/1234/DB' directory perform "Restore to initial snapshot" and startup the VDB again.
