A Duplicate (Deep Copy) is an independent copy of Volume that shares nothing with the parent volume after the “deep copy”-operation. The result duplicate-volume is entirely separate from the parent Volume.

The used size of duplicate usually is bigger then the clone’s used size.

 

Duplicating can be used in situations where needs an independent volume.
