Release Overview:

New features:

1. Masking Operation Progress Page

Accelario is pleased to introduce the Masking Operation Progress Page, an enhancement to the Job Monitoring module. This new page provides comprehensive, real-time insights into the status and progression of data masking operations, improving transparency and making it easier for users to track the progress of each task.

The Masking Operation Progress Page includes several key sections to streamline monitoring:

  • Job Overview Section (Info):
This section displays critical job information, including the job ID, name, start and end time, elapsed time, progress and current status. Users can quickly view summary details and gain an understanding of the overall progress at a glance.

  • Job Steps:
An organized breakdown of each step within the job, detailing the phases of the masking process. This helps users see which steps are in progress, completed, or queued, allowing for precise tracking and better resource planning.

  • Job Progress Diagrams (Per Table and Per Column):
These visual diagrams show masking progress across tables and columns, offering users a clear view of the data processing flow. Users can instantly see how much of the job is completed on a per-table and per-column basis, making it easier to identify bottlenecks or areas needing attention.

  • Detailed Table Progress:
This section provides granular data on progress within individual tables. Each table’s status is broken down, showing row counts, masking completion percentages, and specific data points as they progress through the masking operation.

With this new page, users can now monitor jobs with greater ease, ensuring a smooth, transparent, and efficient masking process.

2. Excel Anonymization Support

We are excited to announce the new Excel Anonymization Support feature. With this enhancement, Accelario now allows users to perform anonymization on Excel files, adding flexibility to handle sensitive data directly within Excel spreadsheets.

Key Highlights:

  • Seamless Integration:
Anonymization for Excel files is now integrated into the existing masking workflow, meaning users can securely anonymize sensitive information within Excel files without disrupting their usual data handling routines.

  • Enhanced Privacy Controls:
Users can select specific columns or cells to anonymize within their Excel files, providing fine-grained control over sensitive information. This ensures compliance with privacy regulations while preserving data integrity.

  • User-Friendly Experience:
The Excel anonymization process has been designed to be straightforward, allowing users with minimal technical knowledge to easily set up and run anonymization on Excel files.

With the addition of Excel Anonymization Support, Accelario continues to broaden its data masking capabilities, empowering users to protect sensitive information across a wider range of file types.

3. Update Batch, Fetch, and Parallel Settings During Runtime

This new feature allows users to adjust batch, fetch, and parallel processing settings for masking jobs in real-time. Users can now fine-tune performance configurations on the go, enhancing operational control and adapting to varying workloads without halting the job.

4. New Masking Rule for Spanish National IDs

Accelario introduces a dedicated masking rule for Spanish National ID numbers (DNI, NIE, NIF). This rule ensures Spanish IDs are anonymized in compliance with local regulations, providing tailored security for datasets containing these identifiers.

5. New Masking Rule: RANDOM

The RANDOM masking rule is now available, enabling users to replace data with randomized values effectively. This flexible rule supports diverse use cases where unpredictable data is needed while ensuring masked data remains realistic and usable for non-production environments.

6. Download All Logs and Configurations for Diagnostics

For improved diagnostics and troubleshooting, users can now download all logs and configuration files directly from the Masking application. This feature streamlines support requests, allowing users to access necessary files quickly for comprehensive issue resolution.

7. Load Pre/Post Scripts from the Browser

Accelario now enables users to load pre- and post-masking scripts directly from the browser. This feature simplifies script management, providing a streamlined, browser-based interface for uploading and executing scripts around masking tasks.
