Masking Integration

Virtualization offers a powerful feature to increase the security and privacy of your data – the ability to integrate with an Accelario Masking service.

The integration with the Masking service can be enabled during the Virtualization system setup process, and once it's done, the system can propose to mask data in compliance with your specifications and policies.

There are two options for masking a VDB:

  • First time Masking
For users who are incorporating data masking into their VDB operations for the first time, the system offers a dedicated 'First-time masking' option. This feature is specifically designed to guide you through the process of setting up and applying masking rules for the first time on a database that has not previously had any masking configurations.

  • Masking with an existing configuration
For users who have previously set up a compatible masking configuration for the VDB. This feature allows you to easily apply the same set of masking rules to a new VDB, saving you the time and effort of creating new rules from scratch.

Self-service Deploy

The self-service deployment will guide you through all the steps to define your first Oracle RMAN Golden Image of your production database and create your first VDB. With the wizard's step-by-step guidance, you can configure the source and target Accelario agents, validate the host name and agent port, and automatically discover the source and target databases. The wizard will also deploy the Oracle RMAN Golden Image, load it with an initial set of data, provision the first VDB, and allow you to start working immediately - all without the need for assistance from a third-party vendor or technical support team.

From the Self-service deployment you can:

  • Configure source host.

  • Configure target host.

  • Configure source database.

  • Configure target database.

  • Provision your first VDB.
