System Setup
How to access
The System Setup is used to define system parameters. To access it click System Setup on the navigation bar.
General
Setup how source and target access the Accelario server.
Choose Connection mode:
Single IP Mode - both source and target server will perform NFS/iSCSI mount to the same IP
Dual IP Mode - source servers will perform NFS/iSCSI mount to one IP and target servers to another. Useful when source and target servers are in different subnets.
Download links for all the agents' installations kits.
SMTP
Setup an SMTP configuration, that is used to send notifications via email.
Fill in the details to setup the SMTP server.
Server Name/IP - hostname or IP of the SMTP server in your organization
Bind Username - username for the SMTP server
Bind Password - password for the above user
Port - port for the SMTP server
Use SSL - whether to use SSL when connecting to the SMTP server
From Email - what would be the sender’s email
Test Email - send a test email to verify the configuration
EMAIL NOTIFICATION
Email Recipients - comma separated list of emails to whom to send the notifications
Filters - which event types to send as notifications: Error, Warning, Info
Users
Setup external authentication via Active Directory
Fill in the details to setup the Active Directory connection:
Server Name/IP - hostname or IP of the Active Directory controller in your organization
Port - port of the Active Directory controller
Authentication Type - always Simple
AD Domain Name - name of the Active Directory domain
Bind Username - user in the Active directory. It is used to test Active Directory connection
Bind Password - password for the above user
Test AD - test connection to the Active Directory
VDBs
Setup parameters that are used when VDB is starting - the “Advanced parameters” part.
Choose between Oracle and MySQL
Add new parameter by clicking “Add Parameter”
Each parameter can be modified or deleted by using corresponding buttons
Masking
Setup integration with the Accelario Anonymization (Masking) product
Fill the details to setup the Accelario Anonymization connection:
Server Name/IP - hostname or IP of the server where Accelario Anonymization is installed
Port - port of the Accelario Anonymization
User Name - user of the Accelario Anonymization
Password - password of the above user
Test Connection - test connection to the Accelario Anonymization
Once “Test Connection” succeeds, the application will show available masking policies. Choose any of them
Monitoring
Setup automatic monitoring of the servers and databases
Enable or disable the automatic monitoring.
Pay attention - this operation may take several minutes
Statistics
Setup whether the application will send its usage statistics to Accelario
The details are explained here
Questionnaire
Setup how the Dashboard will calculate costs and benefits
Fill the details:
Time to Provision an Initial Non-production Database (Golden Image) - Before using our automated solution, how many hours were typically spent on provisioning an initial non-production database using traditional methods?
Frequency of VDB Creation or Refresh - How often do you need to create or refresh a virtual database? (times per day, week, month)
Annual Price of Storage per GB - What is the annual price of storage per GB? (in USD)
Time to Refresh a Non-production Database (VDB) - How many hours are typically spent on refreshing a non-production database using traditional methods?
Standard Cost Rate of the Virtualization Processing - What is the cost per hour for database virtualization processing using our standard rate? (in USD)
Restrict NFS access by IP
Setup whether to restrict NFS shares from the Accelario server to the specific source or target servers. If not enabled then any server, that is allowed by firewall, will be able to mount NFS to the Accelario server’s NFS share of GI or VDB.
Maintenance
Various maintenance tasks of the application
Restart NFS Service - perform restart of the NFS service on the Accelario server. Used to solve deadlocks of NFS, usually after constant “device is busy” errors when starting up VDB. The restart takes few seconds and almost never affect running VDB’s or GI’s
