Release Overview

Reports dashboard:

We are excited to introduce a powerful new feature to the TDM platform, designed to enhance user experience and provide comprehensive insights through a reports dashboard.

This feature offers a primary dashboard that presents valuable insights through lifetime statistics, smart report tables, and diagrams.

Business Purpose:

• Immediate insights: Gain instant access to key performance metrics.

• User-friendly UI: Engage with visual data representations for better understanding.

• Data-driven decisions: Make informed choices based on smart statistics.

List of currently available reports:

1. Lifetime impact costs and benefits
   New data source that provide historical information about the benefits of using the Accelario service

2. Space savings
   The diagram provides a comprehensive overview of the physical and virtual sizes of all databases registered in the system. It displays the total space saving percentage, calculated as: Space Saving % = Physical Size / (Virtual Size - Physical Size)

3. Disk usage
   This diagram offers a detailed view of disk usage within the storage pools. It shows the total disk usage percentage: Usage % = Used Disk Space / Total Disk Space.

4. Environments sizes
   This diagram visualizes disk usage for each environment. It provides insights into how much disk space is allocated and used by each environment.

5. Test data environment details
   This table provides detailed information for each environment, including the number of volumes and snapshots created and the space-saving ratio per environment.

6. Environments and VDBs history

   The report helps to provide insights into the utilization and efficiency of data virtualization environments over the specified period.

7. VDB uptime

   This diagram displays the uptime in days for each virtual database (VDB). It helps to monitor the system, providing a clear view of how long each VDB has been running

This new Dashboard feature empowers users with immediate access to critical data, facilitating better decision-making and proactive system monitoring. We believe this enhancement will significantly improve customers' ability to manage and optimize virtual database environments.

Management Questionnaire

We’ve added a new "Data Virtualization Service Questionnaire" tab in the system parameters to help you better understand and optimize your non-production database management. This feature allows you to input key metrics such as the time spent on provisioning and refreshing databases, frequency of database refreshes, and associated costs. By completing this questionnaire, you'll can gain insights into the efficiency gains and cost savings achievable through our automated Data Virtualization services compared to traditional methods.

Agent installation process:

We’ve simplified the installation process for remote agents, making it easier and more reliable to install and upgrade agent applications across multiple hosts. This update ensures a smoother setup and reduces the time needed for installation and configuration.

Updating ZFS pool size after extending

We introduced a new feature that allows you to easily update the size of your ZFS pool through the GUI when the underlying disk has been extended. This eliminates the need for manual involvements, making it simpler to expand your storage capacity.
